The Willowdale Modern Revival is a stunning example of how a traditional mid-century home can be reborn with simplicity, warmth, and elegance. The homeowners envisioned a calm, light-filled space that would accommodate their growing family while embracing minimalist aesthetics and modern functionality. Our team at Elavana took this vision and turned it into a seamless, Scandinavian-inspired transformation — from floor plan reconfiguration to the smallest details in finishes and fixtures.

Design & Execution

We started by removing non-load-bearing walls to create a free-flowing open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area. To brighten the space, we added larger windows and soft white walls accented with matte black hardware and natural wood features.

The kitchen became the heart of the home — featuring flat-panel oak cabinetry, a quartz waterfall island, hidden appliances, and integrated lighting. In the living area, we installed a custom built-in media wall and floating shelving to balance style and storage.

Upstairs, the bathrooms were completely reimagined with frameless glass showers, matte tiles, and minimalist fixtures. We introduced oak vanities and underlit mirrors for added warmth and sophistication.

Energy-efficient windows, LED lighting throughout, and new insulation behind the walls helped bring the home up to modern performance standards — making it as efficient as it is elegant.
